Liverpool have edge over Arsenal in race to sign goalkeeper

Fresh_Gossip

Arsenal transfer target Michel Vorm, says he prefers a move to Liverpool. Well at least that is how other reports interprut what he said. The shot-stopper seems to be eyeing a reunion with Brendan Rodgers at Anfield.

The quotes come from Dutch magazine Voetbul: ““A reunion with Rodgers would be special. The collaboration was very good last season. But for now Pepe Reina is Liverpool’s first goalkeeper, and it is not an issue.”  The Dutch keeper is not the only Swansea player that could re-unite with Rodgers next season, Ashley Williams is another player believed to be high on the managers summer shopping list.

Jose Reina has been linked with an exit this summer, with many tipping him to replace Victor Valdes at Barcelona this summer. If that move did come to fruition then Vorm looks like a ready made replacement. Arsenal have been linked with a long-list of goalkeepers as they look to add some competition to Szczesny and Fabianski who have struggled to consistently impress at the Emirates this term.

Liverpool fans, would you rather keep Jose Reina or replace him with Michel Vorm? Neither keeper have been in their best form this season.
